goodbyes: part brutsch.

for the last week i’ve been saying my goodbyes which has been pretty hard. even with all the ways to keep in touch these days there is nothing like knowing you have the people you love within a few minutes walk or drive. so i’m going to break it up into a few posts. starting with the brutsches.
i’m going to miss these babies so much. i’ve lived in provo basically their entire lives. i can’t imagine not watching them grow up before my eyes. and lauren and ben have been so nice to be near also, driving me around, feeding me, watching some late night movies. i’m going to miss the brutsch bunch.
silly goodbyes are the way these kids go.

real life.

after this four years ago

and this four weeks ago

i’m taking another step that only slightly concerns my life and by slightly i mean totally.

i got a job.
i got a real life full time job.
and it’s in dallas. as in texas. as in dallas, texas.
as in i’m moving to dallas, texas.
like next week.
i’ve never been to dallas and i am so excited and nervous and excited and nervous but mostly excited and grateful. huge shout out to jeff johnson, adam ruri, and anna hayes for being super great and awesome dallas supporters since the beginning of this whole ordeal. thanks guys. thanks a lot.
here are my uncles’ reactions. i kind of love them.
i’ll be working at rinchem as an administrative assistant. i really am so so so so so excited.

now here are some fun facts about dallas found from its wikipedia page. because, let’s be honest, i totally read the entire thing when i realized it was a possibility i could be moving there.

dallas is the third largest city in texas and the ninth largest in the u.s.
the dallas/fort worth airport is one of the largest and busiest airports in the world.
dallas is mostly flat and has a humid subtropical climate.
dallas as fifteen lds stakes and is home of the first texas temple, built in 1984.
in 2011, dallas became the first city to host the superbowl, world series, and nba finals all in a 12 month period.
dallas is home to the cowboys (football), mavericks (basketball), rangers (baseball), stars (hockey) and fc dallas (soccer).
and my personal favorite, notable people from dallas: lance armstrong, george w. bush, chris harrison, nick jonas, demi lovato, leighton meester, ashlee and jessica simpson, selena gomez, usher, vanilla ice, and owen and luke wilson. boom.

needless to say i think i’m going to fit in pretty well there.

i’ve got a crush on you.

people i have random and not as pronounced crushes on:
tom hiddleston
like loki from thor. and f scott fitzgerald from midnight in paris.
i follow him on twitter and, i don’t know, i just think he is so adorable and down to earth. have i seen the avengers yet? no. don’t remind me. but please partake in this hilarious interview slash video so you all know what i mean when i say lokiiiii’d!!!
matthew perry
probably because of chandler bing from friends. or maybe because he is the old version of zac efron (see 17 again). i just love him so much. i also follow matthew on twitter and i think i get more excited for his tweets than anyone else’s. he is probably in the top ten celebrities i would want to meet. and he’s coming out with a new show! who’s excited? this guy. girl. i’m a girl.
seth meyers
i kind of think he is adorable. from weekend update to new year’s eve, i just want to listen to his wit and stare at his blazingly beautiful smile. all day. everyday. slash be his best friend.
spock
my friends have been watching all the star treks and i have tagged along a couple times… and i have come to the conclusion that between spock’s deep voice and his tortured logical soul, you just cannot go wrong. and don’t even get me started on his eyebrows. i would live long and prosper with him for eternity.
