I Havasupai problem.

Yeah.

Angie Johnson asked me if I wanted to go to havasupai next month. I said sure! I’ve wanted to go for ten years! Then I found out it was actually next week. WHAT.

So after stressing about it slightly and convincing my boss this was an OPPORTUNITY and I would just ALWAYS REGRET not going and I just HAD to go, I bought me some gear (um why did no one tell me being outdoorsy was mega expensive) and some food (you mean I have to carry everything that I am going to eat for three days?!), packed it all up and headed to the Grand Canyon.

Favorite moments: Hiking in at 2 am so we got to the campground just as the sun was coming up, the horses the scared the crap out of me on the hike down, sleeping slash spend all my down time in a hammock, challenging my fear of cliff jumping, singing TSwift and Britney while playing Mow (sp?), making everyone say “Ahlin is my queen”, waking up next to a river every morning, hiking out and getting caught in the sunny summer rain.

I love pushing my body to see what it can do and I love exploring this earth and just getting to be in awe and so grateful for it.

Pools and fools.

Some of my favorite dudes had band practice at our house all week before their pool party gig. It was just the best to come home to.

We had some people over and they played a fun set. Plus they ended it with a surprise just for me! They had been secretly practiced Mr. Brightside because they know how much I love The Killers and how much I love that song. I was so giddy you would have thought Brandon Flowers himself had showed up.

David, Nate, CJ, and Michael. The coolest fools I know.

Hands. Down.

I was going back and forth about going to this concert… But my love for early 2000’s emo alternative punk got the best of me. And thank goodness it did.

Taking Back Sunday was so fun, but having all my dreams of hearing precious angel Chris Carrabba in the flesh realized was perfect.

Also I think I decided that Hands Down is actually one of my favorite songs of all time.

Momma turns 60 – Deer Valley

For my mom’s birthday, five of her six kids met up in Park City for a partayyy weekend. And to kick it of, a few of us went to the Utah Symphony in Deer Valley. Theme: 70’s and 80’s. Oh yes.

One of my new favorite memories. For sure.
